The Queensbury based club run a thriving junior section with well over 100 players and have recently set up a girls team which has been a great success. Lynsey Rhodes and Kelly Gallagher, who are committee members at the club, both agree that the cashback donation has come at a great time and will help them tremendously with buying kit and equipment for the new girls section and saying, “As a Club we are fully committed to promoting Rugby League in the area and this cashback is really appreciated and will go a long way in helping us achieve our goals.”
Cashfax Manager Richard Watmough said, “The guys at the Queensbury Junior Rugby Club do a tremendous job in giving local kids a chance to enjoy themselves through sport and gives them valuable exercise, discipline and friendship, particularly during these challenging times. We are happy to support them with the £600 donation from our Calderdale Cares scheme, but in truth, they have earnt the money themselves by getting parents, supporters and volunteers signed up to the Cashfax Lottery and in return we then donate a percentage back to them.”
