Our latest Calderdale Cares donation goes to the Yorkshire Children’s Trust who are based in Elland.
The Trust was set up to provide both financial and emotional support to sick and disabled children in Yorkshire.
The financial support encompasses support for medical equipment or treatment, essential home modifications or help with hospital transport costs.
The emotional support includes short holidays for not just the child, but Mum, Dad and any siblings too. The charity will also be providing debt and welfare advice and general counselling to deal with diagnosis of illness or the loss as a child.
Richard Watmough of Cashfax Lottery said, “The Yorkshire Children’s Trust doesn’t receive any funding from the Lottery, NHS or Central Government, so I’m pleased to make a donation of £250 from our Calderdale Cares Fund to help towards their essential work in our area.”
