Thank you for your interest in the Cashfax Lottery.
Halifax RLFC have successfully run a weekly lottery for over 20 years and proceeds from it, have helped the Club enormously both on and off the field. With the growth in the bigger national lotteries recently, such as the Postcode and Health Lotteries our scheme has struggled to compete, so we looked at ways to make us more appealing to potential members.
Firstly, We introduced the Calderdale Cares Fund. We have had such great help over the years from the Calderdale public and local businesses that we thought we would like to give something back in return. So we introduced the Calderdale Cares Fund where the Club makes donations to local good causes and charities. This year we are on target to donate £5,000 which will make a big difference to the organisations we are supporting and make our lottery more appealing to members knowing that they are helping to support local good causes through their subscriptions.
Secondly, we have restructured our weekly prizes and we are now giving our members chance to win far bigger prizes. Our weekly prizes have now increased from £100 a day, to a weekly jackpot of £2,000, a fantastic rollover prize which goes up by £500 a week, up to a maximum of £10,000 and there are over 75 other prizes up for grabs including cash, meal vouchers, cinema tickets and many more
The good news is that even with the improvements we have made to our lottery, the price still remains the same at only £1 a week.
Now that we have a competitive product, we would like to grow our membership so that Halifax RLFC can prosper and we can help even more worthy local good causes through the Calderdale Cares Fund. You can join as an individual, as a business or if you are an employer, perhaps we could approach your colleagues about joining through payroll. Any help in increasing our membership would be welcome and you never know, you might even win up to £10,000.
